The Sonicsmith MIDVertor E1 is an expansion module for the ConVertor E1 audio-to-pitch/CV module. The module is capable of converting the pitch, gate and envelope parameters obtained from the ConVertor E1 into MIDI data with high precision and in real time. Pitch and Gate correspond to the note values of a keyboard, Envelope can be assigned to any MIDI CC. If you use a single ConVertor E1 on the MIDVertor E1, everything is converted monophonically. Rear bus ports allow connection of up to six ConVertor E1 modules, which can be used for polyphonic MIDI/USB processing or conversion of multiple monophonic signals at once. The fast processor with accurate 16-bit signal conversion contributes significantly to the correct processing of note information. A sustain pedal can be connected as an additional controller.
